If you are looking to immerse yourself in stunning scenery, hike wild trails, wander along rugged coastlines and explore gorgeous national parks, then this is the trip for you! Start in the waterfront city of Seattle; catch a ferry across Elliott Bay and wander amongst the beautiful Olympic Peninsular’s National Park, stroll along its driftwood-strewn beaches and evergreen forests; and head south to the quaint seaside town of Cannon Beach and admire its sea stacks. After some down time on the coast you will head to the hipster paradise that is Portland before crossing the Cascade range into the high desert region of Bend to visit its volcanic monuments. Stop off in Crater Lake before heading onto the Redwoods National Park, which is home to the world’s largest and oldest trees. Continue south weaving through the coast, woodlands, state parks and roaring rivers to end your trip in cosmopolitan San Francisco. This itinerary covers iconic cities, wilderness areas, the Pacific coast, snow-capped mountains, volcanic lakes, ancient forests and even a rainforest!
