The Cheshire Cat Inn was set up by a lovely couple (one of which originally came from Cheshire) to pursue their dream of running a B&B in Santa Barbara. It is a charming little boutique accommodation, although some may find it a little chinzy, it is full of character and it’s owners offer a very personable service. The Inn is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and is located just three blocks from Downtown Santa Barbara and within easy reach of State Street. The hotel has kept it’s historical Queen Anne style charm throughout and you will find that it is decorated with English antiques and floral furnishings (think Laura Ashley!). There are a variety of rooms, suites and cottages which make this a great option for couples and families. The bathrooms can be a little small, but its the character that makes this B&B quite special. Each morning, guests are treated to a light breakfast to start the day with, followed by an afternoon wine and hors d’oeuvres hour. We love all the Alice in Wonderland themed rooms, such as the Mad Hatter, the Door mouse and the Queen of Hearts!
