In our opinion this is one of the best hotels in Portland, located in the heart of the city right next to Portland’s ‘Living Room’. The eco-friendly MAX light rail system stops just outside of the hotel – perfect for exploring the city easily and at excellent value. Alternatively, just a short walk away you will find the trendy Pearl District (great for craft breweries, wine bars and restaurants), boutique shops and galleries.

Once you arrive on level eight of the historic Meier and Frank building and you step into the hotel, you will be greeted by its colourful and unique large open lobby area, which features Urban Farmer (a farm-to-fork restaurant), a library and cosy little nooks to relax in. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout, with striking art pieces and a contemporary welcoming feel to the rooms.

They are passionate about fine cuisine here and their ‘Departure’ restaurant and lounge is not to be missed, a spot that also offers outstanding city views from the rooftop. As well as iconic dining establishments, the hotel also has a bar, a fitness centre and offers spa services.
