One of the deepest and widest parts of the Grand Canyon, the South Rim is a breath-taking sight to behold. There is so much to see and learn en route – featuring sections of the famous Route 66 and picturesque mountains whilst listening to your guide explain about the wildlife, ecosystems and history of the area. A visit to Bright Angel Lodge, a national historic landmark and the brilliant visitors centre, stopping at numerous viewpoints along the way so you can experience the South Rim’s most remarkable vistas, including Mather Point and Yavapai Observation Station. A stop at the historic El Tovar Hotel and a local native trading post follows so you can have the opportunity to pick up a souvenir or two, before heading back to your hotel and hearing more insights from your expert guide about this truly amazing natural wonder of the world. This tour is approx. 13 hours in duration, so you will be collected from your hotel early, but don’t worry as breakfast, lunch, bottled water and park fees are all included so you can just relax and enjoy the day.
