The city’s historic 1926 financial centre building opened as the luxurious Omni Hotel in February 2002. Now recognised as one of the Historic Hotels of America by the national trust for historic preservation, we would challenge any guest to step through the doors and not be a little blown away! Originally built as a bank in the 1920s, the hotel has retained its retro, art deco stylings with a crystal chandelier, marble floors, smooth wood furnishings and ornate rugs. Simultaneously, amenities are modern and luxurious, with the spacious guest rooms and suites featuring flat screen TVs and high-quality beds alongside charming high ceilings and marble bathrooms. Bobs Steakhouse is wonderful and there is a gym available on site, but we recommend spending as much time as possible exploring the surrounding Financial District; known for its excellent food options and San Francisco’s main tourist attractions (such as Union Square) are not far away. Complimentary guided walking tours are offered every Saturday morning from the hotel, exemplifying the thoughtful service practised by staff throughout the Omni.
