Day 13

Spend a final day exploring more of Los Angeles, maybe head to the Getty Museum or Griffith Park Observatory ahead of your flight home this evening.

Day 1

Leave the UK today and fly to sunny San Diego. In true 'laid-back' Californian style, spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying some of the city's beautiful beaches.

Day 2

Today you will be spoilt for choice of things to see and do! Highlights include the historic USS Midway, Old Town, Legoland, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo and the Gaslamp District which is great for food and drinks.

Day 3

If sports is your thing then definitely head to Petco Park and watch the San Diego Padres hit a home run!

Day 4

After collecting your car this morning, head to the stunning wine region of Temecula Valley and enjoy a wine tasting (or two or three!) before enjoying dinner in Temecula's historic old town this evening.

Day 5

This morning you may wish to enjoy a hot air balloon ride over the vineyards, before heading onto your next stop in fabulous Palm Springs.

Day 6

An aerial tram ride is a great way to experience the Palm Springs Valley today. Taking 10 minutes to reach an elevation of 8,516 feet in a revolving tram, it really does offer the most outstanding views. Once you are at the top, enjoy exploring many walking trails, a natural history museum and lunch with a fabulous vista.

Day 7

Take a drive out to Joshua Tree National Park today and take in the unique trees that thrive in this vast landscape. You will also find many unusual rock formations and pictographs here.

Day 8

Leave Palm Springs and head west to gorgeous Santa Barbara, known as the American Riviera. En route, stop off at a one of the 120 vineyards within the Santa Ynez Mountains and sample some of the wine in this region.

Day 9

Spend the day wandering along the gorgeous beach, try a surfing lesson, go shopping on State Street, or visit the stunning county courthouse and historic mission.

Day 10

For a more chilled out day, head to the Funk Zone where you will find art galleries, numerous tasting rooms, craft breweries and artisan restaurants.

Day 11

After breakfast, head south to the City of Angels. Drop off your car on arrival in Los Angeles and start exploring - of course there are the classic must-dos, such as Rodeo Drive, Hollywood, Venice Beach and Beverly Hills.

Day 12

You may wish to spend today at a real working film & TV set at Warner Brothers Studios. Alternatively, if theme parks are more your thing, you could experience Disneyland, Universal Studios or Knotts Berry Farm.

Day 13

Spend a final day exploring more of Los Angeles, maybe head to the Getty Museum or Griffith Park Observatory ahead of your flight home this evening.
